Job description:

Work with the team to recommend solutions to client’s social media and web challenges; Implement web solutions, using a variety of CMS’s, programming languages, tools, applications, widgets and platforms; Write custom scripts and functions for CMS platforms; Develop custom functionality using HTML/CSS, JQuery / Java Script, PHP, MySQL, and others; Research functionality of tools, applications, widgets and platforms, and recommend the most feasible solutions; Implement and integrate the tools, applications, and widgets with the overall platform to create seamless user experiences; Use design templates and design specifications, and implement solutions within the provided visual framework; Implement social media solutions; Integrate social media platforms with web platforms; Work collaboratively with the designers to balance form and function;

Qualifications:

The applicant will require a degree or diploma in computer science, computer programming, or a comparable field. Applicants must be familiar with multiple programming languages, and able to work with multiple CMS’s. Applicants with knowledge of social media platforms are preferred. Knowledge of and competency with Adobe Creative Suite, or comparable programs is not required, but is preferred.

Eligibility:

Northern Ontario secondary school graduates 29 years of age or under, who recently graduated from an accredited college or university. Graduates from high school outside of Northern Ontario who have resided in the North for at least one year are also eligible. Mature graduates may be considered.
